Straight-flute taps made from 6542 high-speed steel. They are intended for machining threads in various through-holes; blind holes cannot be machined. Suitable materials include copper, brass, A3 steel, aluminum, cast iron, and other materials. Typically used with tapping machines, integrated drill presses, CNC lathes, machining centers, and similar equipment. Manual processing is also possible. During operation, adjust the speed according to the hardness of the material: the harder the material being processed, the slower the speed. Recommended feed rates: hard steel: 510 m/min; cast iron: 810 m/min; ordinary steel: 615 m/min. Material: High-speed steel. Cutting direction: right-hand. Package includes: 2 M11 x 0.5 taps. Safety and use tips: 1. Take appropriate protective measures and wear safety glasses and protective gloves. 2. Before tapping, check that the round-hole diameter is suitable. Select the appropriate cutting oil for the threading process and apply rust-preventive oil for maintenance after use. 3. Control the speed according to the hardness of the material. Add water or coolant to prevent excessive heat and reduce tool wear.
