About the tap: The straight-fluted tap is made of 6542 high-speed steel. It is used to machine threads in various through-holes or shallow blind holes; deep blind holes cannot be machined. It can process copper, brass, A3 steel, aluminum, cast iron, and other materials. It is generally used with tapping machines, integrated bench drill presses, CNC lathes, machining centers, and similar equipment. Manual processing is also possible. During operation, adjust the speed according to the hardness of the material: the harder the material being processed, the slower the speed. Recommended feed rates: hard steel: 5-10 m/min; cast iron: 8-10 m/min; ordinary steel: 6-15 m/min. About the die: Made of alloy tool steel for hardness and wear resistance. It is used to repair external threads. When using it, align the die's tapered locking hole with the screw of the die wrench and tighten it. The tapered keyhole provides strong locking force and is not easy to loosen. When cutting, apply an appropriate cutting lubricant to the die edge. Reverse the die every 1/4 to 1/2 turn to help discharge chips through the chip hole. Tap material: high-speed steel. Die material: alloy tool steel. Cutting direction: right-hand.
