BELUSIL 010 Silicone is a high-quality, one-component sealant based on No-MEKO oxime-curing silicones (neutral system). Properties: Permanently elastic; formulated to inhibit mold growth; good adhesion without primer on nonporous substrates and industrially used coating systems; virtually odorless and non-acidic; resistant to UV radiation, weathering, water, moisture, and chlorine; non-corrosive to metals. Applications: Connection and movement joints for all common floor coverings, such as plastic, PVC, linoleum, and rubber; connection joints in wood and laminate; connection joints between precast concrete elements; window connection joints and facade joints; glass sealing; sanitary areas; and industrial applications where mold growth on the sealant is undesirable. Shelf life: 12 months in the unopened container when stored between +5C and +25C. Frost-resistant down to -15C during transport. Resistance: Good mechanical resistance. With occasional exposure, resistant to salt water, fats, oils, and various chemicals. Application: In general, BELUSIL 010 Silicone adheres excellently without primer to many building materials, including glass, glazed surfaces, enamel, anodized aluminum, painted wood, and various plastics. BELUPREP 400 Primer is recommended for highly absorbent substrates. Testing the material for suitability before application is recommended. Substrate and application temperature: min. +5C, max. +40C. Joint finishing: BELUSIL 010 Silicone forms a surface skin after approximately 510 minutes, so the joint must be smoothed immediately after application using an acid-free method.
