ESG Satinato, frosted, or matte glass: custom-cut 6 mm matte glass panels. Custom sizes up to 220 x 230 cm (2200 x 2300 mm), with ground and polished edges and finished corners. ESG edge stamp included. Toughened safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than standard glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when, for example, hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop. If broken, ESG breaks into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, ESG toughened safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infills. ESG must not be altered after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
