ESG Satinato, milk glass, or frosted glass: custom-cut frosted glass panels, 8 mm thick. Custom sizes up to 120 410 cm (1200 4100 mm), with ground and polished edges and blunted corners. ESG is thermally toughened safety glass. It is considerably more stable than ordinary glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop, for example. If broken, ESG disintegrates into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, ESG safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as door and window infill panels. ESG must not be processed after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
