Clear, 8 mm tempered safety glass panels with rounded corners, custom-made up to 110 x 200 cm (1100 x 2000 mm), with ground and polished edges. Tempered safety glass according to DIN, with an edge stamp. Tempered safety glass is thermally toughened, making it considerably more stable than standard glass, especially more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass tabletop. In the event of breakage, tempered safety glass shatters into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infills, among other applications. Tempered safety glass must not be processed after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
