8 mm clear toughened glass panels, custom-made up to 180 260 cm (1800 2600 mm), with ground and polished edges and eased corners. Toughened glass without a stamp or marking, resistant to bending and impact. Toughened safety glass is thermally hardened, making it considerably more stable than ordinary glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass tabletop. In the event of breakage, toughened glass disintegrates into small glass granules, reducing the risk of injury. For these reasons, toughened safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infills. Toughened glass must not be modified after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
