5 mm clear tempered safety glass sheets, cut to size up to 70 x 220 cm (700 x 2200 mm), with ground and polished edges and blunted corners. Tempered glass without a stamp, resistant to bending and impact. Tempered safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than ordinary glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass table top. If it breaks, tempered glass disintegrates into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used for table tops and as glass panels for door and window infills. After production, tempered glass must not be further processed, for example by drilling or sawing.
