4 mm clear tempered glass panels with rounded corners, custom-cut up to 900 x 1100 mm. Edges are ground and polished. Tempered safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, making it considerably more stable than annealed glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when, for example, hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop. If broken, tempered glass shatters into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infill. Tempered glass must not be modified after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
