12 mm clear tempered glass panels, custom-cut up to 170 x 430 cm (1700 x 4300 mm), with ground and polished edges and eased corners. Tempered safety glass according to DIN, resistant to bending and impact, with an edge stamp. Tempered single-pane safety glass is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than ordinary glass, particularly against impacts and bending. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass table top. If it breaks, tempered glass shatters into small glass granules, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used, for example, for table tops and as glass panels for doors and windows. Tempered glass must not be processed after manufacturing, for example by drilling or sawing.
