Clear 10 mm tempered glass panels with rounded corners, custom-made up to 140 x 170 cm (1400 x 1700 mm), with ground and polished edges. Tempered glass according to DIN standards, with an edge stamp. Tempered safety glass is thermally hardened, making it considerably stronger than ordinary glass and more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when, for example, hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop. If it breaks, tempered glass disintegrates into small glass granules, reducing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window fillings. Tempered glass must not be modified after production, such as by drilling or sawing.
