10 mm custom-cut tempered Satinato, frosted, or milk glass. Made to measure up to 180 380 cm (1800 3800 mm), with ground and polished edges and eased corners. Tempered safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than ordinary glass and more resistant to impact and bending loads. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass tabletop. If broken, tempered glass shatters into small glass granules, reducing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used for tabletops and as glass panels in doors and windows. After production, tempered glass must not be further processed, for example by drilling or sawing.
