10 mm clear tempered safety glass panels, custom-cut up to 240 x 320 cm (2400 x 3200 mm), with ground and polished edges and blunted corners. The tempered glass has no stamp and is resistant to bending and impact. Tempered safety glass is thermally toughened, making it significantly more stable than standard glass, particularly more resistant to impact and bending. It is also less sensitive when hot objects, for example, are placed on a glass tabletop. If broken, tempered glass shatters into small glass granules, reducing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infills. Tempered glass must not be modified after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
