Clear 10 mm tempered safety glass panels, custom cut up to 140 210 cm (1400 2100 mm), with ground and polished edges and eased corners. Tempered safety glass is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than standard glass and more resistant to impact and bending. It is also less sensitive when hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop, for example. If broken, tempered glass crumbles into small glass particles, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infill. Tempered glass must not be modified after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
