Description

• BASOTECT FOAM: Open-cell melamine resin foam, cut in Wrzburg; approx. 9 kg/m density, white, smooth, UV-resistant, and non-yellowing.
• FLAME-RETARDANT B1: Classified as B1 (flame-retardant) under DIN 4102-1; certification is available. Classification applies to the foam itself.
• FOR MIDRANGE AND HIGH FREQUENCIES: Primarily absorbs midrange and high frequencies for use on walls or ceilings in offices, meeting rooms, studios, rehearsal rooms, home theaters, or classrooms.
• SELF-ADHESIVE: Factory-applied double-sided adhesive film. Align carefully before pressing into place; it cannot be repositioned afterward. The surface must be clean, dry, and dust-free.
• SCOPE OF DELIVERY AND CARE: 1 panel, 100 x 50 x 7 cm (0.5 m). Trim with a sharp utility knife. Not washable; carefully remove dust, including with a vacuum cleaner.

The smooth, self-adhesive Basotect foam panels serve as efficient sound absorbers. The flame-retardant B1 classification under DIN 4102 allows the foam absorber to be used in public buildings. It can also be installed to improve acoustics in recording studios, living rooms, and call centers, including in visible installations. Basotect foam is lightfast and does not yellow. Permanent installation can be carried out with foam spray adhesive or construction adhesive. Alternatively, the absorbers can be mounted as acoustic ceiling sails with a mounting kit in an almost damage-free manner. Suitable rooms also include recording studios, listening rooms, home theaters, classrooms, and lecture halls.
