The Arabia Moominmama Moomin plate features Moominmama sitting in a rocking chair with a cup of coffee in her hand. The plate design was created by Tove Slotte and is based on Tove Jansson's stories about the Moomins. Moominmama is the heart of the Moomin family. This gentle, understanding, and caring mother figure is always there to offer the family advice and comfort. Arabia was founded in 1873 in the Arabia district of Helsinki by the Swedish tableware manufacturer Rrstrand. Arabia is a Finnish ceramics manufacturer producing earthenware and porcelain products. Arabia's philosophy is perhaps best reflected in Kaj Franck's classic Kilta tableware collection. In addition to high material quality and the resulting durability of its products, Arabia places great importance on sustainable production and fair working conditions.
