The PoE splitter separates a PoE signal into a 5V DC power source and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet data source. It allows you to run an Ethernet cable from a PoE switch over long distances, then split the PoE signal into separate data and 5V DC power sources for operating non-PoE devices.
