The untreated/raw surface may show storage marks. Cut-to-length tolerances: 25250 mm: approx. +0 to 3 mm; 2511000 mm: approx. 3 mm; 10012000 mm: approx. 5 mm. Tolerance according to EN 755-5, material group II. Density: 2.85 kg/dm. Tensile strength from Rm 340 N/mm; 0.2% yield strength Rp0.2: 250 N/mm; Brinell hardness HBV 100. Machining: optimal for turning, milling, drilling, and sawing; anodizing: acceptable; hard chrome plating: good; powder coating: good. Chip formation: short. This alloy was designed and developed in the research and development laboratories of Eural Gnutti S.p.A. to meet the latest environmental protection standards. Eural 6026 LEAD FREE is lead-free and offers excellent chip formation, good corrosion resistance, medium-high mechanical properties (Rm 370 MPa), excellent surface quality after machining, and good suitability for decorative and hard anodizing. The alloy is also well suited for hot forming. Eural 6026 LEAD FREE is presented as an option in accordance with the latest RoHS and REACH restrictions on lead (Pb 0.1%). Main applications include the automotive industry, electrical and electronic industries, precision-turned parts, and cold forging. Eural 6026 LEAD FREE contains no tin (Sn). The source states that tin can lead to weak points and cracks in machined parts under load and when exposed to low or high temperatures (160C).
