Also known as carriage bolts, these fasteners consist of a large round, smooth head, a square neck beneath the head and a threaded shaft. The bolt joins two parts using a nut, which must match the thread size. Washers can help prevent the nut from loosening and protect surfaces. The zinc-plated coating provides lasting rust resistance. For installation, drill all holes before fitting the bolt and nut, and use suitable washers and nuts. Suitable for industrial and household DIY applications.
