Description

• Tap dimensions: length 102.00 mm; thread head 22.00 mm; square drive 11.2 x 11.2 mm; shank diameter 14.0 mm; pitch 1.25 mm.
• Round die dimensions: outer diameter 45 mm; thickness 10 mm.
• Suitable for most metals, including copper, alloy steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, abrasive steel, A3 steel, and iron plate.
• Can be used with manual devices or specialized processing machines; adding suitable coolant can extend service life during tapping.
• Package includes 1 x M21 x 1.25 mm metric tap and 1 x M21 x 1.25 mm metric round die.

Cutting direction: right-hand. The tap is made of high-speed steel, and the round die is made of alloy tool steel. The tap has straight flutes and is designed for through holes and shallow blind holes; it is not intended for thread cutting. It can be used with manual devices or specialized machines, including tapping machines, drill presses, CNC lathes, and machining centers. Adjust the speed according to the hardness of the material: the harder the material, the slower the speed. Recommended cutting speeds are 615 m/min for general steel, 510 m/min for harder steel, 27 m/min for stainless steel, and 810 m/min for cast iron. The round die is suitable for general threading work and is widely used for repairing or cleaning external threads. Before tapping, verify that the round-hole diameter is appropriate and take protective measures. Add water or coolant during tapping to prevent excessive temperatures and reduce wear. If rotation becomes difficult, stop tapping. Select the appropriate die for complex threading operations and apply rust-preventive oil after use for maintenance.
