System description: EC550 reversible key system with horizontal key insertion, 6 spring-loaded pin elements, and 2 passive pin elements. Equipment: Emergency and danger function as standard; the cylinder can always be locked, even when a key is inserted on the other side. High-quality drill protection. Surface finish: Nickel Pearl. Copy protection: None, as the cylinder is supplied without a security card. Keys can be made from a sample or by code. Compatible variants for keyed-alike systems include EC550 double cylinders, half cylinders, thumbturn cylinders, and external cylinders for box locks. Keyed-alike versions with multiple cylinders operated by identical keys are also available on request. Suitability: The EC550 is suitable for private use and only conditionally suitable for commercial operations because it has no copy protection. It is not suitable for grand master key, master key, or central locking systems. It can also be combined with door additional locks 7010 and 7030 and the armored door bar. Replacement security: Keyed-alike EC550 cylinders and keys can be reordered by code at any time. Determining the cylinder length: Measure from the center of the threaded hole (mounting screw) toward both sides. The two measurements together give the total length. The exterior or interior side is irrelevant, as the cylinder can be turned as needed.
