Warburg was first mentioned in writing around 1010 and was even a member of the Hanseatic League during the Middle Ages. Numerous historic stone and half-timbered buildings still tell stories of times gone by. Set in the Warburg Brde, the town of Warburg lies on a ridge. The old town features several churches and a well-preserved town fortification.
