SeaDry container desiccant from ThoMar was originally developed as a high-performance desiccant specifically to protect sea freight transported in containers from moisture. A dry environment is especially important for sensitive goods to protect them from potential moisture damage. SeaDry is suitable for containerized goods such as engine parts, steel coils, furniture and all goods in retail packaging, including packaged foods. In addition to sea freight transport, SeaDry is also well suited for use in storage facilities and modular construction. It can be used wherever excessive humidity must be controlled in larger, enclosed spaces. The products are distributed evenly throughout the container, enclosed storage area or modular construction space to provide optimum protection against moisture. All SeaDry products offer the highest qualityMade in Germany. All ingredients are REACH-compliant, and the products contain no DMF. All SeaDry products contain a special mixture of calcium chloride and starch with a very high water absorption capacity of over 200%. Moisture is drawn from the surrounding air in the container, reducing humidity to an uncritical level. The risk of moisture-related damage during transport or long-term storage, such as corrosion, mold, softened cardboard and detached labels, is significantly reduced. The absorbed moisture is immediately bound as a gel by the starch, preventing water from escaping from the bags. In all SeaDry variants, the front or top side is made of HDPE fleece (high-density polyethylene), which allows moisture from the air to enter the desiccant but prevents it from escaping. The back or underside consists of a moisture-impermeable multilayer film.
