The untreated/raw surface may show storage marks. Cut-length tolerances: 25250 mm: approx. +0 to 3 mm; 2511,000 mm: approx. 3 mm; 1,0012,000 mm: approx. 5 mm. Outside-diameter tolerance according to EN 755-3; formerly standardized under DIN 1799, material group II. Density: 2.85 kg/dm. Tensile strength: Rm from 340 N/mm. 0.2% proof stress: Rp0.2 250 N/mm. Brinell hardness: HBV 100. Machining: optimal for turning, milling, drilling, and sawing. Anodizing: acceptable; hard chrome plating: good; powder coating: good. Chip form: short. The product image is for illustration and may show a similar item. This new alloy is the result of extensive development work by EURAL's research and development laboratories. EURAL 2033 LEAD FREE is an alloy with multiple possible applications. It offers good machinability due to very short chip formation, high mechanical properties (Rm 370 MPa), excellent surface quality after machining, improved anodizing quality, and weldability compared with alloys 2011, 2007, and 2030. It is also proposed as an alternative to alloy 2011 under the updated RoHS restrictions (Pb 0.1%). REACH classifies lead as a toxic element for human health in its list of substances of very high concern (SVHC). Lead requires specific authorization when its content exceeds 0.1%. Main applications: automotive, electrical and electronic industries, precision-turned parts, cold forging, screws, bolts, nuts, and threaded parts. EURAL 2033 LEAD FREE contains no tin (Sn). The source states that tin can cause weak points and cracks in machined parts under load and when exposed to low or high temperatures (160C).
