O-rings are specified as follows: inside diameter x cord thickness in mm. The NBR O-rings are made of a synthetic rubber that offers excellent resistance to mineral-oil-based oils and lubricating greases, hydraulic oils (H, H-L, H-LP), silicone oils and greases, hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, HFC), as well as aliphatic hydrocarbons, air, and water. For other oils and fuels, we recommend testing the NBR O-ring to verify its resistance. Thanks to their good physical properties, such as high abrasion resistance, durability, and good temperature resistance, NBR O-rings are suitable for a wide range of applications. The resistance of NBR O-rings to aging, weathering, and ozone is rather limited. However, this is not relevant for many applications as long as the material is surrounded by a substance, such as oil.
