The locknut, also known as a stop nut, is suitable for connecting or fastening a wide variety of components or elements. It is particularly useful when a bolted connection should not, or should only with difficulty, be loosened again, or when the component is safety-critical. When the locknut is tightened, the plastic ring is plastically deformed, preventing the bolted connection from loosening on its own due to vibration or strong force. This is achieved by a polyamide ring located in the internal thread. Please note that self-locking nuts are a single-use product; after disassembly, the self-locking function is no longer guaranteed. Secure installation is not possible by hand without tools. Thanks to the use of high-quality stainless steel, the locknut remains rust-free, durable, and reliable even outdoors.
