This brass sheet has material number 2.0321 and consists of approximately 6264% copper and about 3437% zinc. The proportion of accompanying components is approximately 0.5%. The brass sheet is excellent to process: it is weldable and very suitable for soft and hard soldering. It also offers very good cold-forming properties and polishability and can be very easily electroplated. CuZn37 has good corrosion resistance and remains stable in water and various salt solutions. Material 2.0321 is diamagnetic. Brass sheet is used in the manufacture of gutters and downpipes, for covering roof surfaces, in roof drainage production, and for manufacturing brass containers. Typical properties of cut-to-size brass sheet include excellent durability of more than 200 years, high electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, resistance to hydrochloric acid and alkalis, and suitability as an alloying additive.
