• Low shrinkage: Maximum permanent linear shrinkage of 3.5% at 2200F after 24 hours of heat exposure; loss on ignition (LOI) at 1832F: 47%.
• Fire-resistant insulation: Vacuum-formed ceramic fiber board rated for temperatures up to 1260C. Density: 2,024 lb/ft. Asbestos-free insulation with low thermal conductivity, low thermal mass, and resistance to thermal shock.
• Non-brittle: High tensile strength; remains non-brittle and does not crumble even after repeated use at high temperatures. Retains its shape and toughness at high temperatures.
• High compressive strength: 78 psi at 25% deformation.

Ceramic fiber boards are an ideal solution for high-temperature insulation and are used in various industries. They are made from refractory fibers consisting of aluminum and silicate, along with binders containing a low proportion of organic material. The mixture is then vacuum-formed into boards. These boards may emit a slight odor during the first firing until the organic binders burn off. They are then pure white and odorless. Depending on application requirements, the boards are manufactured in various densities and temperature classes. Applications: - Insulating wood stoves, fireplaces, forges, kilns, and ovens. - Industrial lining for industrial walls, roofs, doors, chimneys, flues, and furnace linings in blast furnaces, kilns, boilers, combustion chambers, and other heat-processing equipment. - As a barrier against heat and flames. - Well suited for applications involving vibration, mechanical stress, and strong erosive forces.
