Flat candle wick STG developed for pillar candles and other non-freestanding candle projects. It is a waxed cotton flat wick with a metal base and a length of 19 cm, particularly suitable for paraffin candles and paraffin blends containing up to 20% stearin. The wicks are not treated with borax and are tested according to RAL standards. The STG flat wick is ideal for making pillar candles. It provides a good, even burn, maintains good wick stability, and produces little to no buildup. The wicks are made in Germany. To use, place the wick in the candle mold and pour the wax into the mold. Wax adhesive tabs can help prevent the wick from shifting during production. Available versions: STG 50: For candles up to approximately 5 cm in diameter STG 69: For candles up to approximately 6.9 cm in diameter STG 75: For candles up to approximately 7.5 cm in diameter Note: Flat wicks with a metal base cannot be used for hand-dipped candles. Many factors affect a candle's burning behavior, including the type of wax, its melting point, candle thickness, and the addition of colorants and fragrances. Test your candle project with these wicks before ordering a larger quantity.
