Heat-resistant stainless steel sheet in grade 1.4841 with corrosion resistance. It can be welded satisfactorily and is suitable for various mechanical treatments, including grinding, cutting, and polishing. This steel is melted using an open process in an induction furnace. It contains 1821% nickel, 2427% chromium, 23% silicon, 1.5% manganese, and 0.3% each of copper and molybdenum. The source specifies vanadium, tungsten, carbon, and titanium at 0%, with sulfur and phosphorus additives. Hot rolling is carried out at a thickness of more than 0.5 mm, beginning at temperatures above 1170 C and ending at approximately 850 C. The sheet is classified by edge condition, rolling accuracy, and flatness. Flatness grades are special, improved, normal, and high; accuracy grades are improved and normal. It is available with edged or non-edged sides. If required, the sheet can be quenched in water or air at temperatures of up to 1150 C. Custom-cut stainless steel sheet is used in construction, the automotive industry, the food industry, sanitary installations, and chemical plant engineering. Made-to-measure stainless steel sheet offers high corrosion resistance, excellent resistance to acids and corrosion, excellent heat resistance, and good mechanical strength.
